Do you work for Publix?

Tuna is delicious once in a while, but as a regular diet it is one of the most tedious foods I know of.

While you're at Publix be sure to get a sub sandwich (Boarshead) from their deli. It's not a prep item but makes the trip worth it.

Publix prices are notoriously higher than other grocery stores.

True, but you can get their specials without using a mandatory tracking card
like most other stores require.

Common response from people whop get scared walking into a store that "looks expensive" because it's clean and smells nice

Shop the sales. Only a sucker buys regular priced items.

Also they have a produce section, bakery and deli second to none! Their meats are also top quality. I miss being able to shop at publix.

There is meijer up this way that is somewhat similar. It's no publix, but they have some great sales and their produce section is acceptable. I buy most of my meats from costco now although meijer isn't half bad.

I wouldn't be caught dead buying meat or produce from a albertsons/jewel (same parent company), windixie, food lion or dominics.

BIG +1 for their boorshead deli subs. Mmmmmm fresh baked bread (actually mixed and baked same day in the store's bakery).... Mmmmm delicious!

Don't even get me started on their cakes or butter creme icing. I still have yet to find a chain bakery of any sort that comes close to them.

we shop at publix ourselves, mostly because they just put a new one not a 1/4 mile up the road.

They are actualy a pretty good company. Their stores are clean and well lit, their meat is fresh. The fish is iffy though, but we dont get alot of fish from there(cant beat a GOOD fish market for FRESH fish).

The tuna you're looking at is what I buy, beacuse the cheaper one from bumblee is cut with a good amount of soy. The Permium Tuna is a bit more expensive per can, yes, but its JUST tuna and tuna only and it is DELICIOUS! We are never in short supply of tuna here, because I consider a short supply anything less than 10 cans. I eat a lot of tuna!

Boarshead subs are the best too. Cant beat Boarshead. Im not crazy about their bakery though, mostly because I am a pastry chef so its all sub par for me anyways :P

The produce is becoming a problem though too. Less and less local grown, and more and more from mexico and Canada, even tomatos, which is odd because florida is a MAJOR tomato grower. We go to local farmers markets for that stuff anyways and just get the bare staples for produce at publix.
